SevernNet, working with a number of local businesses, Resource Futures and the Universities of Bristol and the West of England are developing a Circular Economy initiative across the area.
Key aims include:
- Enabling interested businesses to come together periodically to share experiences at the Circular Economy Forum
- Developing a vision for SevernNet Area as a Circular Economy in 2050. What would this look like? Could the area be a leader? How could this benefit existing and future businesses across the area?
- Undertaking a resource mapping exercise across the area to look at opportunities for reducing cost and waste
- Supporting local businesses in understanding what the circular economy might mean to them, including one or two pilot projects.
If this is of interest and you have questions, or would like to get involved, please get in touch (firstname.lastname@example.org; Bernie.Thomas@resourcefutures.co.uk)
Circular Economy Forum
We’re kicking off with a Circular Economy Forum on Weds. 25th May at 14:00, hosted by Accolade Wines. Please email Kate or Bernie if you’d like to come along.
Resource Mapping Exercise
We’ll be contacting businesses in the area from Kingsweston Lane, along Mere Bank Road and Cabot Park next week to invite them to join our pilot resource mapping exercise. This is a chance to have free support to understand what opportunities there may be in your business to make better use of some of your resources. Please get in touch if you’re interested.
