Get out and get active this winter
A simple and magical self-led community event to celebrate Christmas together in Sea Mills, Shirehampton, Lawrence Weston and Avonmouth. Light up your home from 12th – 27th December and explore the displays of others with a fun ‘light bingo’ activity.

Light up your home
If you light up your home or business this December you could win a bike! Just add a winter light display to your house, garden, or window to win. Every house or business will then be added to the prize draw and put on the trail map for others to visit and enjoy. Just for taking part you can win:
- 1 men’s hybrid bike with 18” frame
- 1 woman’s with bike 17” frame or
- £150 of Love2Shop vouchers to spend at Decathlon, Halfords, Sports Direct or dozens of other shops.

The trail will run from 12th – 27th December, with lights on from 5.30 – 8.30pm each day.
Join the trail
This is an event for all ages! Sign up to receive the 4 Villages Light Trail map and follow the lights. Visit as few or as many homes as you like, just enjoy being outdoors and sharing the seasonal good spirit. The last date to sign up is 22nd December.
Play light bingo as you make your way around! Spot different symbols in the lights, like stars and reindeer, and cross them off on your bingo card. Play for fun, and email a photo of your bingo card to us for a chance to win a Severn Ride & Stride neck warmer, water bottle or T-shirt. All prizes are drawn at random so you don’t need to spot everything to win 🙂
Sign up for the trail and automatically receive your bingo card before the trail starts on December 12th. You can still sign up until 22nd December.
The closing date to enter your bingo card in the prize draw is 31st December. For more information email rideandstride@severnnet.org.

Covid 19
4 Villages Light Trail is designed as a fun and unifying activity that can take place safely during the pandemic. You should explore the trail with your household or support bubble and keep a safe and respectful 2 metre distance from others on the trail. The activity is risk assessed and we will keep you updated on any safety measures needed.
Please refer to the UK governments official guidelines before taking part. If government official guidelines between 12th – 27th December prohibit any part of this activity then please bear in mind that it will be cancelled to prioritise the safety of the community.
Craft ideas and inspiration
Whether you light your home up with traditional lights, or choose to create a back lit scene in your windows, Sea Mills and Coombe Dingle Climate Group have tonnes of creative ideas and advice to help you make an easy and beautiful display that is cheap and eco-friendly.
“When you start to plan out your display it really helps to gather together things that you have around the house that you could use, then form the basis of your design around these items. This will mean you don’t have to spend money on turning your vision into reality, you can repurpose, reuse and recycle rather than buy something new”
