Please join us at Lawrence Weston Community Farm (LWCF) for September’s Business Breakfast.
We’ll be:
- highlighting the work of LWCF to support the local community and nature; and learning more about Spark Sisterhood’s ‘Care to Careers’ programme for young women, and the local businesses who supported the 2025 pilot offering work experience opportunities.
- discussing how we might collaborate across Portbury Avonmouth Severnside to enable enriching work experience opportunities to inspire futures.
- providing insights into the developing PAS ‘Skills Academy without Walls’ and how you might get involved, including a couple of exciting pilot initiatives.
We also hope to hear from you about any nature related activities you may be supporting at your workplace.

Lawrence Weston Community Farm is a surprising and delightful oasis in Lawrence Weston offering opportunities and facilities for health and wellbeing for the local community, together with good quality catering and event space for the community and businesses.
We’ll be learning more about the farm, its work and opportunities for volunteering days.
Our breakfast will be prepared on the farm from its own produce!

We’re also delighted that we’ll also be learning more about the nature focused work of:
- The Bristol Port Company
- the team from ‘Linking the Levels’
Spark Sisterhood and ‘Care to Careers’
Spark Sisterhood worked with a number of local businesses this year including Molson Group, Nisbets, SUEZ and The Bristol Port Company to develop and deliver a pilot work experience programme for an initial group of young women brought up in care. The programme is called ‘Care to Careers’.
We’ll be discussing its success, its continuation, and how businesses across Portbury Avonmouth Severnside can support work experience into the future.

Come along and join the discussion
We look forward to seeing you on September 25th
