Large burst main on St Andrews Road By St. Georges Trading Estate (opposite Asda) – please avoid area if possible

Aug 5, 2025 | News, Public News, Roadworks, Transport | 0 comments

You may already be aware that a large water main burst on St. Andrew’s Road last night, close to entrance to St. Georges Trading Estate and St. Andrew’s Station. This is opposite to the Asda site.

Bristol Water has been on site since last night to effect repairs.

Temporary four-way signals are in place to enable traffic to continue to use St. Andrew’s Rd (A403). These are likely to be in place for the rest of the week.

If you are able to avoid using this stretch of road in the interim that would be most helpful; and we would ask road users to be as patient as possible and considerate to the contractors.

We will provide updates as soon as they are available.

We understand that the burst may also be impacting water pressures across the area.
