Work to date has revealed more deterioration than expected and National Highways has had to revise their end date to 19 June 2023.

Works: National Highways is replacing bridge joints on Pilning Bridge
Duration: 4 weeks
Dates: 2 May -19 June 2023 (Mon-Fri)
Times: Works will take place Monday to Friday overnight, between the hours of 21:00 and 06:00 when traffic flows are at their lowest.
There will be no works on 6 and 7 June due to an event in Principality stadium. There will be work overnight Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 June.
Traffic Mgt.: M4 J22 Pilning bridge will be closed overnight to traffic in both directions. Motorists will follow a short diversion via the on/off-slips.
We will keep access open to Prince of Wales bridge, apart from between 22 May and 2 June when Traffic Wales will be carrying out works which will affect overnight access. Full details of the work in Wales can be found here
Traffic will be subject to a 50 mph speed limit during the day through the duratiion of the works.
