Traffic Management and Diversion:
- Diversion route will be via the M48 using off and on closures at M48 J1 & J2 with traffic signals on the roundabouts to ensure the freight levels remain acceptable.
Following events of last 48 hours a comprehensive review has taken place on works planned to manage the impact on the area.
Substantial works were completed last night (Tues 9th Dec) to remove lighting columns and replace one of the expansion joints on PoW Bridge.
The planned full weekend closure of the M48 Severn Bridge westbound from 12th to 15 December has been postponed and will be rescheduled in the New year.
