Highlights of where we are now (February 2025):
- Land agreements are very nearly complete with all parties
- There are no technical impediments to moving forward or further planning requirements to be met
- SGC’s expectation is for work to commence in late Spring 2025 and take 12 months to complete
- The project team is focusing on mobiling resources to enable this late Spring start
- SGC will be working with SevernNet and the Parish Councils on a programme of communication and engagement to ensure that everyone understands how the programme will progress; and any impacts.
The support shown for the project by local businesses and organisations and ongoing support from SevernNet has been very important in maintaining momentum.
