HE is installing a driver information and queue protection system along this stretch of the motorway to provide motorists with real time traffic information and allow HE’s control room to monitor conditions on the road.
Overnight closures will be in place for the installation of of a superspan gantry as follows:
4 & 5 November 2019 – north and southbound closure 22:00 to 06:00
6 & 7 November 2019 – northbound closure 21:00 to 06:00 + southbound closure 22:00 to 06:00
11 November 2019 – northbound closure 21:00 to 06:00 + southbound closure 22:00 to 06:00
12 -14 November 2019 – north and southbound closure 22:00 to 06:00
Traffic management
Fully signed diversions will be in place.
- Northbound traffic will be diverted via the M49, M4 and back to the M5.
- Southbound traffic will be diverted to the M5 northbound, M4, M49 and back to the M5
