Host: National Grid – Hinkley Connection Project
Venue: Bristol Port Safety and Training Centre, St. Andrew’s House, St. Andrew’s Rd, Avonmouth. BS11 9DQ

As you’re probably aware, National Grid is in the midst of pulling conductors – a process known as stringing – between the newly built lattice pylons that take the Hinkley Connection through Bristol Port land, over the River Avon, through Avonmouth and into Crooks Marsh to connect with Seabank substation.

This is just one part of the important Hinkley Connection project which features new innovations including the methodology for installing the conductors in Avonmouth and the new T-pylons along the route.

Hosts National Grid will share an update on their work on the Hinkley Connection Project, with a focus on construction activities in and around Avonmouth, progress to date and what’s to come.

Engineers from both National Grid and principal contractors, Balfour Beatty will be on hand to answer your questions about the work to connect 6 million homes and businesses to homegrown, low carbon energy.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday morning, 23rd February
