The SevernNet businesses and communities … from Portbury Dock, Avonmouth and Severnside … right up to Western Approach Industrial Park … have a hidden treasure of inspiring stories and practices.
Bristol 2015 is our catalyst to celebrate what has, and continues to be, achieved across the area. We’ll be sharing our stories, good practices, events and news throughout the year.

Transport
Improving the sustainability of our transport across the area is challenging. There are limited opportunities to travel by public transport and the cycle and walking infrastructure is generally poor. High levels of HGV traffic also contribute to an intimidating environment.
Working together we’ve been able to identify a number of areas where improvements can be made. We look forward to some investment, beginning in March, courtesy of the Local Sustainable Transport Fund. The SevernNet Sustainable Transport Forum plays an important role in bringing stakeholders together to effect positive change.
