Circular Economy

We encourage businesses and stakeholders to get to know and work with their neighbours through collaboration and cooperation

SevernNet’s roots are in circular economy thinking. We set out in 2008 to encourage businesses and stakeholders to get to know and work with their neighbours through collaboration and cooperation. Valuable links and resource and knowledge sharing followed.

PAS has developed into a circular economy centre of expertise through the practices of many of its world leading businesses and cluster of resource and energy management businesses.

PAS can lead the way in becoming a global exemplar for inclusive, net zero, circular development at the heart of the Western Gateway, building on its local strengths and competencies.

Examples of our achievements and progress to date can be found here.

We encourage you to get involved and enable the area to achieve its potential. Find out more below. Send us your examples and links. Get inspired!

Journey to a net zero circular economy

A net zero circular economy is restorative by design, locally embedded, powered by renewables and designing out waste and fossil fuels.

Tools to support your journey include:

    Energy Management and Net Zero

PAS is renowned for its wind turbines on the skyline. You may not be aware that there is so much more energy generation and innovation that will be at the heart of the area’s energy de-carbonisation.

    • How can I get involved?
    • Energy Hierarchy
    • Wind generation
    • Solar PV
    • Energy from waste
    • Smart energy opportunities
    • Hinkley Connection Project

      Resource Management and Zero Waste

iMoving to a zero waste circular economy is much more than recycling. It’s about designing out waste from the beginning of any process / service / product development and building in ease of re-use.

Where residual resources do remain, we need to see how we can use them more smartly.
