Where Are We

Lawrence Weston Bike Hub

You can see us on Google here or use “Lawrence Weston Bike Hub, Bristol BS11 0HA.”

The Lawrence Weston Bike Hub is a new project set up by Severn Ride and Stride to deliver bike repairs and support to the community. We believe cycling can bring huge benefits whether it be for fitness, leisure or commuting. We’re very excited to be able to create a central hub for cycling in the area, which we hope will create a buzz around bikes and help people cycle more.

Prices: Parts are at fixed (affordable) prices and labour is ‘pay as you feel’.

Suggested prices are small job: £5, Medium job: £20 or £30 for a large job.

The project has been funded by Travel West and Bristol City Council to encourage more people to cycle and support those who already do. With no nearby bike shops, the hub will offer an essential service to commuters and leisure cyclists. We look forward to helping people get their bikes out of the shed and repaired so they can enjoy the fun of riding and drive less where possible.

About the Hub

The Lawrence Weston Bike Hub is a new project set up by Severn Ride and Stride to deliver bike repairs and support to the community. We believe cycling can bring huge benefits whether it be for fitness, leisure or commuting. We’re very excited to be able to create a central hub for cycling in the area, which we hope will create a buzz around bikes and help people cycle more.

With no nearby bike shops, the hub will offer an essential service to commuters and leisure cyclists. We look forward to helping people get their bikes out of the shed and repaired so they can enjoy the fun of riding and drive less where possible. The hub will run every Saturday 10am-4pm until April 2022 but there is some room for flexibility.

The Hub will provide bike repairs and services to the public on a first come first served basis and will be stocked with parts and tools for the mechanic, all of which will be provided. We will ask for a ‘suggested donation’ from those who have bikes fixed but will be free to those who can’t afford to donate – we want to help as many people as possible. Basic parts like innertubes and tyres will be available to purchase for a fixed price.

We will have volunteers present for part of the day who will be able to assist with basic repairs and gain skills from working with the mechanic.
