01/07/2021 – 1 to 1 cycling lessons are now available to book to boost your confidence on a bike! Delivered in partnership with Severn Ride and Stride, Bristol City Council and Life Cycle. Social distancing will be maintained at all times. Contact us here
01/06/2020 – We now have a fleet of bikes available to borrow for FREE for up to 3 months to make essential travel. If you need a bike to get to work, do shopping or make other essential journeys, please get in touch to register. Contact us here to register your interest.

Cycle Saturdays!
Join us for FREE events running through September in various locations. Book into see Dr. Bike to have your bike given a basic service and ‘health check’ or get some confidence with a 1 to 1 lesson from a cycling instructor! “Learn to Ride” sessions are taking place in two locations which are suitable for beginners and will be in small groups.

Learn to Ride
Would you like to learn how to ride a bike? We can help! Our learn to ride sessions are aimed at new riders or those returning after a break. We’ll be using a traffic free area to learn the basics of balance and control in a safe and relaxed environment. Sessions are free of charge and bikes will be available for up to 5 people.

Leisure Rides
We’ll be guiding you on a leisurely bike ride with qualified ride leaders to show you the local area! Rides will be short and suitable for less experienced riders. Bikes are available to borrow if needed. Please note booking is essential to secure a place on our activities. You can email us here to book.

Commuter Rides
We will be guiding you on a ride on routes that are ideal for commuting. You don’t need to work in the area to join, but you should be able to ride a bike and have good control. The rides are largely on bike paths but will use some roads for short sections.
These rides will take you from the start point to Western Approach Industrial Area and return using the same route. You’ll have the option to join us for the ride there, the ride back, or both. Resources
We currently can help with:
Advice and route planning: for using the local network. Contact us to chat about which routes would suit you best whether cycling, walking or using public transport.
Cycle training: Beginners through to advanced cycling. We can arrange lessons for complete beginners 1to1 or via our Learn to Ride sessions. For those who want a confidence boost or guidance on where to cycle we can arrange 1to1 on-road training with a qualified instructor.

Dr bike sessions: This is a great way to get your bike checked for free! The mechanic will do an ‘MOT’ style bike check up and report on any important repairs that need doing. The mechanic should also be able to carry out basic repairs. Keep an eye on upcoming bike check ups
Free Bike hire: We will soon have a fleet of hybrid bikes available to borrow. eBikes are available from Travel West
