Borrow a bike to to travel in Portbury, Avonmouth and Severnside!

We now have a fleet of bikes available to borrow for free for up to 2 months to make essential travel.

If you need a bike to get to work, do shopping or make other essential journeys, please get in touch to register.

A £25 refundable deposit is required and you’ll need to send us a proof of address and some ID.

For E-bikes, a reference is required from am employer or other organisation.

Wheels to Work

Did you know you can get a bike TO KEEP if you are eligible via Wheels to Work. Apply Here

Once you receive your voucher you can come a choose a bike, lock and lights from the Lawrence Weston Bike Hub, open Saturdays 11-3.

See Criteria below:

Bristol residents over the age of 16 are eligible for either;

  • a £150 discount from the marked price of refurbished bikes, and a free lock and a set of lights
  • up to £80 off a bike service
  • one month of bus tickets (paper or mTickets)
  • a free bike maintenance training course (currently provided by LifeCycle UK)

To be eligible, the individual need to be one of the following:

  • Actively seeking work
  • Starting a new job/ training course/ work placement/ apprenticeship (within one month of starting)
