Other Severnside Rides

Patchway Station to Western Approach Industrial Area

Distance: 5.8 Miles each way.

This route takes you on roads and cycle paths to the Industrial area in Severn Beach. You set off from Patchway station and use an underpass to go under the busy Gloucester rd. You can then cross the roundabout in Patchway town using the crossing points if you prefer not to ride on the roundabout. (Google will tell you to use the road so keep your eye out for the crossings if you prefer.)

You will then need to negotiate Cribs Causeway which fortunately has many pavement bike paths and Toucan crossings for bikes.

You will reach Farm Ln after Cribs Causeway which is a recently ungraded section of bike path with great views.

Avonmouth Station to Lawrence Weston Community Farm

Distance: 2.3 Miles each way.

This route follows the quiet roads behind Avonmouth and leads into Lawrence Weston after crossing The Portway roundabout using the Toucan crossing (the google maps route will try and take you on the road here so use the crossing points instead as it’s a very busy roundabout).

You then ride a short way on Avonmouth rd, turn left onto Barack’s Ln and join the Lawrence Weston Greenway, which Is a great traffic free section with a BMX track too! You then follow the Greenway all the way to the farm, taking care when crossing Kings Weston Ln.
