Journey Planning
We can help you plan your journey. We have a map we’ve designed specifically for the Severnside area including Avonmouth, Severn Beach, Western Approach, Lawrence Weston, Shirehampton and many other communities.

GWR
GWR trains connect Bristol and beyond to the coast on the Severn Beach Line, which departs from Bristol Temple Meads and calls at Lawrence Hill, Stapleton Road, Montpelier, Redland, Clifton Down, Sea Mills, Shirehampton and Avonmouth. Some trains will continue to St Andrews road and Severn Beach.
Some services depart from Weston-Super-Mare connecting North Somerset via Yatton, Nailsea and Bedminster.

Bristol’s Severn Beach Line
This historic railway line, once rated as one of the most scenic routes in Europe, runs from Temple Meads out to the suburbs and on to the coast at Severn Beach.
- Services run approximately every 30 minutes between Bristol Temple Meads and Avonmouth with hourly trains continuing to Severn Beach
- Journey time is approximately 28 mins to Avonmouth and 37 mins to Severn Beach
- Service is operated by Great Western Railway. Timetable number: B8
Buses

There are several bus routes that will take you into Avonmouth and the surrounding towns. Some services stop at the Western approach industrial park. See below for details.

The number 3 and 4 buses connect central Bristol to the coastal communities. They share some of the same route but the 3 travels to Avonmouth and Access 18 industrial area. (see map)

Stagecoach
