You may well have already seen in the news that The Range are set to create more than 1,000 jobs in the area after completing a deal to buy land for a new 1.2 million sq ft distribution centre at Central Park, Severnside in S. Glos. The building is scheduled for completion by 2017 representing an investment of £100m.
The Range, founded by Plymouth-based billionaire Chris Dawson in the 1980s, currently has 115 stores with a further 35 planned to open in 2016.
Chris Dawson said: “The Range has continued to buck the trend of UK retail and opened Superstores throughout the recession. This Distribution Centre is a big step in the expansion plans that I have for the business, it’s non-stop for us.
