Woodland planting – adjacent to Seabank Power station – community consultation

Oct 24, 2014 | News, Uncategorised | 0 comments

The Community consultation has now started for the new Avonmouth woodland designed in partnership with the Woodland Trust on the site adjacent to Seabank Power Station. The aim is to ‘Create a new woodland of 4.71 hectares in size comprising of native species for the benefit of people, wildlife and landscape’.

The community woodland will provide additional visual interest and wildlife whilst being sympathetic to the existing natural environment. As part of the process, this plan is now going out to community consultation. The draft plan can be viewed at www.bristol.gov.uk/treepips and posters of the plan will also be on display at the sites entrances and at Avonmouth Community Centre.

If you would like to comment on this proposal please contact the TreePips team by post, email treepips@bristol.gov.uk or telephone (0117 922 3365) before Friday 14th November.

Many thanks, The TreePips Team, Environmental Improvement, Bristol City Council
